The abilities of first-year trainee accountants to apply knowledge acquired through accounting academic educational program in accounting practice

Aspiring first-year trainee accountants are expected to possess basic skills and competencies before entering accounting practice. Accounting academic programme assists with developing integrating professional skills, technical competence, values, ethics, attitudes. The purpose of this study was assess the abilities apply knowledge acquired through in Qualitative data gathered a semi-structured interview 10 two audit manages. Results from thematic analysis revealed that facing various challenges workplace due limited technological competence programmes. Recommendations were made could aid better-informed education profession.
